OWTY has learned that German-American Timothy Tillman, a offensive minded midfielder from SpVgg Greuther Furth youth team, has been selected to join up with the German U15 National side.
Tillman, like many German-American’s, is the son of a German Mother and a US Serviceman.
Tillman, born Janruary 4, 1999, has excellent size and range for a 15 year old, yet according to reports it is his technical ability on the ball that has won him the praise of German National Team scouts and coaches.
Tillman has told OWTY that he is open to playing for the country of his father, and has follows players like John Anthony Brooks, Julian Green and Terrence Boyd closely, but could not turn down the opportunity to compete for the DfB at this early stage. Tillman also claims that US Soccer has not contacted him about joining up, but would be interested in speaking with US leadership.
