Today OWTY has learned that the Munich club will add to it’s collection of rising American talent.
OWTY has learned with first hand knowledge that Bayern Munich have acquired Spvgg Greuther Fürth U17 and U14 starlets ’99 Timothy and ’02 Malik Tillman.
Like many of the current usynt players in Germany the Tillman brothers have a German mother and an American serviceman father.
Timothy, the elder Tillman brother, has been a revelation for the Spvgg U17 squad over the last season. His success earned him a call-up to the German U16 squad. Timothy plays centrally, with a self described box-to-box type game. At 6-0 feet, Tillman pairs sharp technique with excellent size, that has opened the eyes of lots of talent scouts in Germany.
Tillman has informed OWTY that while he remains very much in the picture with DFB he would welcome a call up to a United States camp. Tillman told OWTY this week, “I will always be interested in playing for the US”
Tillman will suit up for the Bayern Munich U17s in a central midfield role.
Younger brother Malik, will likely suit up for Bayern U14s, and plays a much more attacking role.
As Bayern continues to attempt to grow its brand in the US, look for the club to highlight a number of these upcoming prospects.
